Month of Our Lady
During the month of May the children will be praying the rosary in their classrooms for the intentions of all our parisioners.
Principal's Wish List
1. Refurbished Computer Lab (Home & School Irish Night will accomplish this over the summer)! Plus some additional computers and resource materials
2. New refrigerator for faculty room (just donated) God bless you!
3. New recliners for fac rm. (purchased)
4. Air conditioner for faculty room(just donated) God bless you!
5. Additional cabinets for faculty room (purchased)
6. The class of 2007 has donated $650 to the purchase of a Blessed Mother Statue for our school. The statue that I have in mind for our school is presently at the St. Jude Shop. It is the statue that was used at the Archdiocesan Bicenntenial Mass at Villanova. The statue was chosen by Cardinal Rigali and is beautiful. It is lightweight and therefore, portable, which is what we want and it would be such a beautiful way of honoring Our Lady in our school. It is however, very expensive so we are going to work on this for awhile and possibly have "memorial" contributions added to our fund.

Question: Why send your child to St. John's Catholic School?
Answer: " I send my children to St. John's because we wanted them to have a Catholic education and St. John's has a wonderful reputation. I have been told by man in the education field that St. John's is one of the better Catholic schools in the area. Our "specials" set us aside from the rest." T.Leonard
"My husband and I send our children to St. John's because we want our children to receive the same strong Catholic morals and values with which we were raised. St. John's has an excellent educational program and a tight-knit community which we are glad to be a part of." A.Bodi
Recently our students in the Primary Unit had an ecology assembly on Respect for the Earth, etc. The presenter told me she had given the assembly to over 15,000 students in the course of the school year and that our students were the best behaved, had the best attention, and asked the best questions. Hurray for the students in grades K through fifth grades!

Plannning Ahead....our fifth grade students will be invited to spend some time visiting our sixth, seventh and eighth grade classes in order to meet the teachers, get an idea of curriculum and feel more comfortable moving to the next big grade! Next year, we plan to have some phys ed classes for the boys among these grades. Our eighth grade teacher is also going to formulate specific activities for our boys next school year....they are great kids and we are anxious to assist them in any way we can. Give your ideas to Mr. Rogomentick or offer to assist him in some way if you'd be available.
