Curriculum Religion: Over the next two weeks we will be talking about the wonders of God's gift of Creation and how these gifts should be appreciated. Math: Chapter 2. This week will practice counting and identifying numbers to 5, solve problems by making a graph, understand the concept of zero and compare sets up to five using the words more than, less than or equal to. ILA (Reading, Writing, Letter Recognition): Our story of the week will be Ocean Adventure. By reading this story they will learn that some stories are informational. They will also learn what a 'noun' is...the name of a person, place or thing. The children will also learn how to make a word plural....by adding an 's' to the end of the word. Our letter of the week is K. Our Star of the Week is Ellie. Social Studies/Science: This month we will be discussing Thanksgiving, Pilgrims and Indians. The children will have a Thankgiving Feast with there 5th grade Prayer Partners.

Monday: Poster with pictures from 'Birth to Present' Tuesday & Wed: items to share with the class(ex. trophies, awards, favorite toy, etc.) Thursday: Parent/Grandparent to read a favorite book to the class. If this is not possible, just send in a book and I will read to the class. Friday: A treat to match the letter of the week.
______________________________________ 'Pretzel Boy' pretzels are available. Forms will be sent home every 2 weeks. The cost of pretzels are now 30 cents.

Supply List Below is a list of supplies the children will need on the first day of Kindergarten. Please take advantage of the upcoming sales to 'stock-up' on items such as glue sticks, crayons and markers. You will be asked to replace these items in January.
