What's Happening in First Grade

Religion: We will begin the month with a chapter on Baptism.  Prayers of Thanks will be written as we approach the Thanksgiving season.

Math: We will continue our exploration of addition and subtraction facts up to 10.  This will include problem solving skills as well as fact families and vertical and horizontal problem solving.

ILA: In ILA this month, we will complete short vowel sounds and move into long.  Our writing will progress to other forms of poetry and prose.  We will begin our second reader in the series as our reading skills progress.

Happy Birthday to You!
