 Religion

  We will now learn about The Lord's Prayer.  This material is found in Chapter 4 of their Textbooks.

 Science

Grade 4 

  Now, we are moving onto the study of our nose!  What a smelly organ this is!!  We will have a test on the nose & tongue on Thursday!  The students are also working on a Rock Unit with the Widener students each Thursday from 10:30-11:15 through Thanksgiving!

Grade 5

We are moving onto Chapter 13~ Earth, Moon & Beyond.  The first Lesson is How Does the Earth's Orbit Affect the Season's? This test will be on Wed. Nov. 19th!!   The students are also working on a Unit of Study about the Earth's Oceans with the Widener students each Thursday from 10:30-11:15 am through Thanksgiving.

This week's spelling rule is words with r controlled sounds.  This test will be on

Writing

Our first writing assignment was spectacular!  Now we are onto our 2nd assignment of a quatrain about an active lifestlye found within the state of PA!  They have some super ideas!

Grammar

Students will review the elements of a sentence and learn the declarative, imperative, exclamatory & interrogative sentences, simple subjects & predicates and complete subjects & predicates.  We are now working on direct objects & subject complements.  Each day we review our grammar skills through maintenance sheets.

Vocabulary

Vocabulary will be written and defined in their ILA copybook in the Vocabulary section.  The words will be grouped by story and Theme.

 Math 

 We are now moving onto Chapter 5~ Graphing. We are also working on our multiplication facts!
